FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Who should be recommended to College Connection? A: Athletes should have some of the following credentials to be considered for invitation: - Must be a RISING sophomore, junior, or senior in the years of graduation; 2011, 2012, 2013 - Must have exceptional athletic and hockey ability with "scholarship potential" and the desire to play collegiate hockey. Examples: - BEST PLAYER on high school team - All-State Candidate - HS All America or All-America candidate - Junior Olympic participant - Futures National Championships or Futures Elite participant Q: How do I apply for an invitation? A: Recommendations are the first step toward receiving an invitation. All potential invitees MUST be recommended and ALL recommendations must be supported in writing using the Invitation Request Form **High school, Club, Futures and other prominent coaches may recommend invitees through this method. **College Coaches may recommend potential invitees directly to: phixon@whitemountainsports.com Invitation Request Form - (IRF's) are currently being accepted. Invitation Request Forms will continue to be accepted and reviewed until the programs are full. Q: When can I expect to receive my invitation? A: Credentials will be reviewed within 7 days of receipt of an Invitation Request Form received. The most qualified applicants will receive their invitations within 14 days. Athletes who may be less qualified, but still eligible, will receive information pertaining to their status within 1 month. Invitation Request Forms will continue to be accepted and reviewed until the program is full. ** Initial mailing of CC Invitations will begin November 9th and will continue until the College Connection locations are full. ** All CC 2009 participants in the YOG 2011 and 2012
will automatically receive a an invitation to College Connection "2010" during
the first week in November. |
